Protocols and Providers Matter
The largest malpractice case ever (by damages) was awarded regarding a penis injection of Trimix.
The man also received a PRP injection but not by our P-Shot® protocol. And, it was the 60-hour erection from the Trimix that caused the damage (not the PRP). In fact, PRP might be his best hope for recovering penile function after the damage from the Trimix.

Still, even for physicians who offer our P-Shot® procedure, there is much to be learned from the experience of this unfortunate man.
- It is never the patient's fault.
- Doctors must always make sure that the patient understands, has written instructions, and gives truly informed consent.
- The patient should enjoy very easy access to the provider (I recommend that they be able to call or text the provider's personal cell phone 24/7).
- Ethics matter. The patient's welfare comes before profit.
- Truth in everything, every day, with every patient.
- The provider should complete the consent process (not the salesperson (if there is one)).
- Put a link to your consent form on your website page where you talk about the procedure.
- Follow our Priapus Shot® (P-Shot®) protocols, including using an FDA-cleared kit for preparing the PRP. We have 14 years and over 1,000,000 procedures to testify to our safety.
- Stay up-to-date by attending or reading the summaries of our Journal Clubs; the science and the protocols evolve with new research.
